When planning a new production building, managers included centralized Hänel small parts storage right from the start. Six Hänel Lean-Lift® systems are installed vertically through two production floors.

The Hänel Multi-Space®

Energy recovery with the Hänel EcoDrive® system in the Hänel Multi-Space® at Vogel in Hemer. The installation of the high-tech storage solution nearly tripled the space available in the workshop, office and warehouse areas.

It operates 12 Hänel Rotomat® storage systems which are integrated over two floors. The production building was designed so that the 24 retrieval points for incoming goods on the ground floor could be linked up with the production area located on the first floor.

Four Hänel Lean-Lift® systems, with a height of 42.65 ft/13 m extending upward through three floors, compactly store about 8,000 different items. Goods are received on the ground floor, while orders for the production area are filled on the upper two floors.

Fierthbauer operates a Hänel Rotomat® storage system in its shipping department to boost picking processes for small parts. By fully exploiting the warehouse height – from floor to ceiling – overall storage density was increased to provide maximum storage capacity within a minimum footprint.
