As an internationally recognized specialist in packaging technology for confectionery products, LoeschPack develops innovative and cost-effective solutions for products such as chocolate, cookies, or chewing gum. Sustainability is also a key concern for the company when it comes to its internal storage organization, which is why it relies on proven Hänel technology.

Systematic expansion

After years of positive experiences with the existing Hänel solution and the consistently positive feedback from employees, Loesch decided to strategically extend the existing storage concept. Three additional Hänel Lean-Lifts® were directly integrated into the company-wide SAP ERP system to create a powerful network.

The new solution offers space-saving storage directly at the assembly line and ensures fast, systematic provisioning of all stored components. Thanks to precise height measurement, each container is optimally positioned, ensuring maximum storage capacity within a minimum footprint.

Two stories – one system

A special advantage: One of the new Lean-Lifts combines two storage levels via a second access point. While the lower access is directly at hall level, the level above is also automatically supplied with material.

The Hänel high-speed door protects both access points during operation, with the result that order picking can be carried out quickly, securely, and efficiently in parallel.

Visual control and picking support

A further lift is fitted with Hänel PictureControl: A camera integrated into the access point automatically documents each container following confirmation at the controller. This means that visual control of the inventory status is always possible, increasing both process reliability and transparency in the warehouse.

Employees are additionally supported by the Hänel Pick-o-Light® Vario, which uses a LED light spot to clearly mark the respective access point and ensure error-free and guided order picking.

Intelligent networking in SAP

All stock movements – from storage to retrieval to inventory overview – are fully integrated into SAP. The Hänel Lean-Lifts® can be controlled directly via the ERP system and integrated into existing processes. The light barrier curtain in front of the access point ensures a high degree of safety in daily operations.
